A Recall on LaBella Cioccolata 1963 Drinking Chocolate
February 5, 2013

Currently, a series of the drinking chocolate packages are under recall because the ingredients include milk and this allergen was not declared, making it a danger for illness to anyone who has a food allergy or milk intolerance.

Considered a European style drinking chocolate, this product is offered by the Valcorp Fine Foods Pty Limited.

The product that is specifically recalled includes the 200 gram box that includes 10x20 gram sachets of the LaBella Cioccolata 1963 drinking chocolate. The boxes that fall under the recall have three different best by dates, including: February 21, 22, and 23 of 2013. The packages are sold throughout Australia in such stores as Myer, The Good Guys, and Harvey Norman. The packages can be found in some independent stores as well.

If you do not have a problem consuming dairy or milk, then you do not have to worry about consuming the drinking chocolate. It does not pose any threat to anyone without a milk allergy. However, if you do have a milk allergy, then you should cease consuming the drinking chocolate immediately. If you believe that you have fallen ill due to the drinking chocolate’s milk ingredients, then you may need to visit your medical professional.

Remember that this food recall is due to an undeclared allergen. It is not dangerous to anyone who does not have a milk intolerance. If you do have a milk allergy, then you can return the packages of drinking chocolate directly to the store where you purchased it. If you have more questions about the recall or you have concerns about LaBella products, then you can contact Valcorp directly. The number where they can be reached is 1300 675 613.
